News in: White House Press Secretary confirms Harrison Butker still invited for Chiefs’ visit
During Friday’s press briefing, CNN’s MJ Lee asked White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre first if the Chiefs will still be invited to visit the White House, to which Jean-Pierre said they would be invited, just as all American sports champions are, and the invitation extends to “the entire team.”Lee then had a follow-up question about Butker, specifically, asking, “So can you confirm, you said everyone on the team is obviously invited. Is the Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker welcomed at this White House?”
“What I can say is we invite the entire team and we do that always. I don’t have anything beyond that,” Jean-Pierre replied.
