‘My fellow Americans’: Travis Kelce steps up for brief moment of White House spotlight
WASHINGTON, D.C. (KCTV) – A year after getting escorted away from the microphone on the South Lawn of the White House by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had his moment.
After welcoming the Chiefs back to the White House for the second year in a row, President Joe Biden teased the three-time Super Bowl-winning tight end. Then, he invited him up to the lectern to speak.
“I’d have Travis come up here, but I don’t know what he’d say,” Biden teased of Kelce before saying, “Travis, come here. It’s all yours, pal.”
