Zendaya wants to meet Coco Gauff, while her grandma is ‘so excited’ for ‘Challengers’
Tennis fans worldwide are eagerly awaiting the premiere of the Zendaya-led film “Challengers” about the sport, which hits theaters next week in the U.S.
One of them has a place close to the star’s heart, and is already planning a viewing party.
“My grandma, she loves tennis, so she was so excited that I’m doing this movie,” the star sid in a recent press appearance promoting the film. “She’s setting a whole thing with all of her friends to go [see it].”
But might the A-lister be concerned about her grandma’s reaction to any racy scenes in the R-rated film, which chronicles her character, former tennis star Tashi Duncan’s, love triangle with her current husband and former lover?
“She’s also seen “Euphoria,” so it’ll be fine,” Zendaya said, referencing the HBO show for which she has won two Emmy Awards for her portrayal of Rue, a drug-addicted 17-year-old, that features similarly mature content and themes.
