Travis Hunter’s long-awaited trip to the end zone had his biggest supporter fired up.
Moments after the two- way Jaguars Rookie got Jacksonville on the board in their Week 7 clash against the Rams in London, Hunter’s wife, Leanna Lenee, took to her Instagram Stories to celebrate his first NFL touchdown.
“ABOUT. TIME. !!!!!” Lenee captioned her post that featured Hunter’s fourth- Hunter, who splits time at cornerback and wide receiver, hauled in a 34-yard pass from quarterback Trevor Lawrence that avoided a total shutout overseas, with the Rams dominating the Jaguars, 35-7. The former Colorado standout, 22, finished the game with eight receptions for 101 yards.
Sunday’s loss dropped the Jaguars to 4-3 entering their bye week. They return to action on Nov. 2 in Las Vegas. The second overall pick in this year’s NFL draft, Hunter’s arrival in Jacksonville came with plenty of hype given his dual-threat abilities.
Although he has yet to make a profound impact, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner is preaching patience as he navigates his first year in the league.
