Donna was bowled over with two vintage bottles of red wine, a 1988 Domaine Leroy-Vosne Romanée Premier cru Les Beaux Monts costing a cool $3,900.

Yet the $7,900 shelled out for the “iconic” bottle of 2018 Pomerol would have tasted sweet over a nice brunch on Sunday.According to the Millesima fine wine website, the Pomerol is considered “a truly exceptional vintage” of Chateau Petrus, often compared to the legendary 1998 vintage.

This wine scored 100/100 points from James Suckling and Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.

“Donna loves wine, she is a lady with very good taste who enjoys the finer things in life,” said the insider.

“They decided to get her some very rare and special wines for the occasion, for her personal collection, and maybe to keep for special celebrations.”
