NFL legend Rob Gronkowski insists Travis Kelce is the best catching tight end in league history – as he admits there is ‘no doubt about it’ in debate between himself and Chiefs star…see more
‘That question,’ Gronkowski responded. ‘You’re just throwing it out there.
‘I would say, in a different aspect. I mean I believe Travis Kelce is the best receiving tight end. He’s the best tight end in terms of catching the ball.’
‘There’s no doubt about it, you can’t even argue,’ Gronkowski added. ‘I mean he’s had seven 1000-yard seasons in a row. He’s a great red zone target as well. And when he’s not out on the field, they are not the same team.’
In terms of accolades, Kelce has eight Pro Bowl selections to Gronkowski’s five and both have four First-Team All-Pro recognitions.
Perhaps more importantly though, Kelce has two Super Bowl titles to Gronkowski’s four — the last of which Gronkowski and the Buccaneers won over Kelce’s Chiefs in 2021.
‘It’s an argument that I don’t wanna make the final decision on,’ Gronkowski added.
Gronkowski also mentioned the importance of factoring in the systems and style of play they are in when answering the question. He then continuously praised Kelce and reiterated leaving the debate to the fans.
