Veronica Campbell-Brown,hailing from a small town in Trelawny, Jamaica, created a resume that can stretch a list to a roll.
The first Jamaican – male or female – to win a world championship sprint title is a 3x Olympic gold medalist, 3x World champion, and a plethora of other hardware.
In retrospect, this makes for a good case for a fantastic career, doesn’t it? But back in 2018 after racing only once in a 100-meter dash, she had to take the rest of the year off because of her pregnancy.
Many wondered if she could follow suit such as the likes of Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce who made a fantastic comeback two years after giving birth to her firstborn (Zyon).
Calling it a comeback would be a massive understatement, in fact — she produced four of the top six 100-meter times globally this year!
