Wait, crimson red polish? Why does that sound familiar? Oh, because it is. Swifties, take a deep breath: In “I Did Something Bad,” off the 2017 album Reputation, Swift does in fact reference wearing that exact color.
“I can feel the flames on my skin/Crimson red paint on my lips,” she sings in the pre-chorus.
“Black cherry has stolen the spotlight on runways of late because of its classic and enduring appeal, versatility, and the ability to make a bold statement while emitting an edgy vibe with rebellious charm,” she says.
While I quite literally can’t even envision what a “promotion” would look like for Taylor Swift, I’ll never knock someone for for boldly embracing confidence.
On the contrary, maybe we can all work on manifesting Reputation (Taylor’s Version) with our own red manis.
