The CBS Sports Champions League presenter recently married her partner, boxing trainer Malik Scott, and subsequently adopted his last name.
However, when the cameras started rolling for Thursday’s show, she introduced herself with her old name by accident.
So used to her usual opening line for the show, the 43-year-old said: “Good evening and a very warm welcome to our Champions League post-match show, it is so good to have you with us.”
Scott, formerly Abdo – in case it hasn’t sunk in for you yet, either – immediately covered her face and could only grin as she realised what she’d done. Henry hid behind his script to cover his face, while Carragher and Richards kept cracking up.
“That was worse than your Fox one!” Carragher said, referencing when Scott called CBS Sports, Fox by accident.
