The world was shocked when Louis Rees-Zammit, a Welsh professional rugby player, announced he was abandoning Europe and his sport to try his hand in the National Football League and he hasThe defending Super Bowl champions have already signed him to a three-year deal after he ran a successful International Player Pathway Program (IPPP) attempt, so the 23-year-old will get his chance at the top of American sports.
And he has already being making friends with two of the Chiefs’ squad leaders, Mahomes and Kelce, as he bids to integrate into the team better and to get some serious plays coming his way in 2024 or whenever he makes his debut.
“To be fair, Pat and Travis have messaged me,” Rees-Zammit said to The Rugby Pod. “Yeah, he’s my best mate now!
“Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce [text me] just saying: ‘Welcome to KC. If I ever need anything then let me know.'”
