Now retired, Kelce shared his thoughts on the subject during an episode of the “New Heights” podcast, which he co-hosts with his younger brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.Reflecting on his rookie year in 2011, Jason Kelce recounted how the NFL lockout delayed the distribution of playbooks until training camp.

Despite this, he suggested that the playbook was not as crucial as many believe.

“I went in completely not knowing what was happening,” Jason said.

“It’s amazing how fast you can learn this stuff.

“Never looked at the playbook one time.

“When’s the last time you actually looked? I’ve not looked at a playbook in years.”
