EXCLUSIVE: When Travis Kelce signed his four-year, $58 million contract extension with the Chiefs in 2020, he decided that his first purchase would be something more meaningful than a new car. Kelce announced that he will be buying a building for his Eighty-Seven & Running Foundation to give inner-city Kansas City teenagers a safe place where they can study science, technology, engineering and mathematics. He also has a foundation that fixes senior citizen’s homes that need repairs. It’s a great gift to seniors in the Kansas City area…
Now the Chiefs have a deal to keep their All-Pro tight end in Kansas City. His previous contract was set to expire after the 2021 season.
Kelce, 30, has made the Pro Bowl in each of the last five seasons. He’s exceeded 80 catches and 1,000 yards receiving in each of the last four seasons and has missed just one regular-season game since his rookie campaign in 2013.
Kelce tallied 97 catches for 1,229 yards and five touchdowns last season. He made six catches for 43 yards and a touchdown in Kansas City’s Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers in February.
