Ariana Grande completely transformed herself — and her views on makeup — to play Glinda in wicked.

Grande continued, “There’s no thick eyeliner, there’s no heavy crease, it’s just really warm and open and pretty.” While she no longer is donning as heavy eye makeup as she used to, Grande still feels true to herself.

“The lashes are in a cat [eye] shape, which still gives you the cat eye lift that I usually love, but it’s a more honest representation of what you look like,” she explained. As she added extra bronzer to her cheeks, Grande gushed that she and Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba, are both big fans of a sharp cheek.

“One thing about these witches is they are contoured,” Grande quipped. The actress praised her blonde wigs for looking so realistic because the hair department plucked each hairline to “the perfect shape.”
