Chiefs to honor former cheerleader who died after childbirth: ‘She was a cheerleader for anybody’
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The life of a well-known Chiefs cheerleader will be honored throughout the 2024 NFL season, the team announced Wednesday.
Krystal Anderson’s loved ones said she was 21 weeks pregnant when her journey took an unexpected turn.the former Chiefs cheerleader gave birth to her daughter, Charlotte. The family shared that, unfortunately, baby Charlotte died during childbirth.
Anderson fought on after the loss of her child, but she faced a battle with sepsis. Ultimately, her organs failed.This season, the Kansas City Chiefs will honor her life and legacy on game days. According to team representatives, cheerleaders will wear a cuff on their right arm during the 2024 season. It will show Krystal’s initials, embroidered in white rhinestones, on a field of red rhinestones.
