Chiefs defensive end stable after having seizure, going into cardiac arrest at team facility
The Kansas City Chiefs have confirmed that they were forced to postpone offseason training on Thursday after a player suffered a medical emergency at the team’s practice facility.
Multiple Chiefs beat reporters and NFL insiders have identified the player as defensive end B.J. Thompson, a 2023 fifth-round draft pick by the team.The backup defensive lineman reportedly suffered a seizure during a special teams meeting and went into cardiac arrest.The team has not officially confirmed the exact nature of the medical emergency or that it was Thompson who was hospitalized. Doctors and trainers were nearby when the medical emergency occurred.
