Carson Wentz Reveals Former Teammate That Influenced Him to Sign With Chiefs

Foles, who was Wentz’s teammate on the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017 and ’18, played on the Chiefs during the 2016 season as a backup to quarterback Alex Smith.

Foles spoke very highly of his time under coach Andy Reid’s leadership in both Philadelphia (from 2012-13) and Kansas City. Foles also played under current Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy on both teams.he Chiefs mark the fifth team in as many years that Wentz has joined after he began his career on the Eagles in 2016. He’s since had one-year stints with the Indianapolis Colts, Washington Commanders and the Los Angeles Rams. Now he’s joining the Super Bowl LVIII champions.
