The race will be part of the Duael competition, specifically the “Super Serious On Sight.” series, which pits Olympic racers against other professional athletes in an elimination-style tournament, according to Ad Age.
The report also suggests that Crews received a verbal agreement from Hill, while Lyles has officially signed up for the project, as per FloTrack. If the race does happen, it would settle the debate over who is faster.
Over the summer, Lyles and Hill engaged in a war of words, with Hill accusing Lyles of feigning illness after finishing third in the men’s 200m final at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Post-race, Lyles revealed he had tested positive for COVID-19, attributing his loss to the virus. Speaking on the “Up and Adams Show” with Kay Adams, Hill didn’t mince words about Lyles’ performance.
