Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy and his ex-fiancée Tia Jones have officially closed a tumultuous chapter in their lives, reaching a confidential settlement that brings an end to their legal dispute.

The high-profile case, which unfolded in the public eye over the past few months, has now been resolved quietly and without further court intervention. The legal drama began when Jones filed for a protective order against Worthy, alleging an incident of domestic violence in early March.

She claimed that after a training session, Worthy became physically aggressive when she did not pay attention to him or his dog. The allegations led to Worthy’s brief arrest, casting a shadow over his rising NFL career.

Worthy responded with legal action of his own, accusing Jones of stealing $300,000 worth of valuables, damaging his property, and assaulting him by pulling out his dreadlocks. He also requested a protective order.
