Ali was announced to be playing the next Marvel Daywalker in 2019.

However, the Green Book actor has yet to debut on screen as the character, besides having an off-screen line during the stinger of the MCU movie Eternal.

“Cancel Mahershala Ali’s Blade movie and bring Wesley Snipes’ Daywalker into the MCU,” a headline said in a screenshot posted by the original Blade star.

Despite having his doubts, his reveal in the movie has been noted as having the loudest reaction in the theatre as well as the most noise on the internet.

He added that he couldn’t see the studio being up for bringing him back “because they have Mahershala [Ali] cast for the next upcoming” iteration of the character.
