BREAKING NEWS: Twin brothers, age 24 years old, who lived 260 miles away from each other were both diagnosed with testicular cancer less than three weeks apart
Ryan and Sean Collard, 24, from Hetton-le-Hole, near Sunderland, both discovered they had cancer in September last year.
The brothers, who are currently undergoing treatment, may have a genetic disposition to develop testicular cancer. Ryan, a newly-qualified teacher, was diagnosed after he collapsed several times over the summer.
After being seen by his GP and three hospitals, doctors found a tumour in his stomach and he was given a course of chemotherapy.
Sean also went to the doctors when he noticed a swelling on his body.
He was diagnosed 20 days after his twin and had an operation to remove the tumour.
