Breaking News: Tory Lanez went independent, owns his publishing and masters, converted his album into an NFT, sold it to fans for $1 each, made $1,000,000 in less than a min with NO middle man and figured out how to record and mix from prison.
As the clock struck midnight ET, Lanez’ big reveal was something else entirely. For the thousands who checked in, they got a teaser for a new tell-all record, Daystar.
“There is a time to stay silent . And a time to speak ….. I said all I could say on this … ALL PLATFORMS … ….. #DAYSTAR … I’ll be back to y’all soon …. respectfully ….,” he posted. Spanning 17 tracks, Daystar dropped in full in the small hours.
On it, you’ll find Lanez’ response. The lead track “Money Over Fallouts” is layered with questions on the veracity of the incident and features the line, “Gotta see a couple questions: how the f–k you get shot in your foot, don’t hit no bones or tendons?”
“Megan people tryna frame me for a shootin’…Knowin’ I ain’t do it but I’m comin’ at my truest,” he also asserts on the track.
Megan Thee Stallion has yet to respond.
