Breaking News: Prince Harry and Prince William’s Rarely-Seen Cousin Is Set to Inherit $130 Million Fortune…see more

One day, Prince William may wear the crown and all that comes with it, but there’s one thing he and his brother Prince Harry will never inherit.
That’s Princess Diana’s childhood home – Althorp Estate, where she is also buried. This grand estate, which has been in the Spencer family since 1508, will go to their cousin Louis, son of Earl Spencer – Diana’s brother Charles.
Despite having three older sisters, 29 year old actor Louis, Viscount Althorp, will inherit the estate due to the aristocracy’s system of primogeniture, which favours the eldest son.
The estate, where Diana spent her childhood and was laid to rest after her tragic death in 1997, opens to visitors each summer. Louis keeps a low profile, but Tatler named him one of their “top eligible bachelors” in 2019.
Born Louis Frederick John Spencer on March 14, 1994, he is the nephew of the late Diana and her sisters, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Baroness Jane Fellowes, and is often referred to as the “poster boy for primogeniture”.
