Davidson hasn’t been shy about sharing his sobriety journey and history dealing with borderline personality disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
He’s joked about his struggles over the years, including during his recent string of more than 200 live stand-up comedy shows and several other projects.
The source told the publication that Davidson’s friends and family are very proud that he has chosen to focus on his sobriety and continues to take care of himself.
“We believe that Mr. Davidson engaged in reckless driving, which ultimately resulted in his involvement in a serious collision into a home,” the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office told ET in a statement at the time.
“Luckily, no one was seriously injured as a result of this collision.”
