But Mahomes wasn’t done there. On Saturday, he and Adidas announced the second Team Mahomes, his “NIL cohort of Texas Tech student-athletes.” The newest group features several Red Raider standouts, including NiJaree Canady (softball), Sam Courtwright (soccer), Behren Morton (football), Christian Anderson (men’s basketball), and Malachi Snow (track and field).
For the big 12 matchup, the Red Raiders debuted their “Too Cold” uniform, designed by Adidas and Mahomes. The jersey features a primarily white design with red lettering and includes the Chiefs quarterback’s signature Gladiator logo.
And Mahomes explained some of the motivation behind working with his former school.
