The 29-year-old then walked fans through all of the modifications made ahead of the season premiere on Monday, Sept. 9, which included a refreshed gold sign with the updated WoF logo, a vibrant “sunburst” backdrop, a new LED screen platform and a different border around the puzzle board.

The entrance used by Seacrest and co-star Venna White to get onto the stage was redesigned, too, and so was the orientation of the set as Maggie explained that the massive wheel was moved to a different spot in the studio (though she said the wheel itself was not replaced).

While some fans “love the new set” and praised the team responsible for the “beautiful design” and “great job on the updates,” others sorely missed the old setup.

“The new set is HORRIBLE,” another critic exclaimed before begging the designers to undo what they did. “Why do they always have to mess with what isn’t broken? The colours are too bold and bright please bring back the other stage set.”
