“Anyone who tells you differently is f—— lying through their teeth,” she said, adding that it’s challenging when you go from putting “yourself first all the time” to putting your partner and kids ahead of your needs.
“It becomes tougher and tougher with the more things thrown your way,” she continued. “[Marriage is about] communication and evolving with [your partner].
Fighting’s okay as long as you fight the right way and you can give that space for them to be vulnerable and not to judge [them].” Kelly noted that she and Matthew have faced many highs and lows in their relationship, recalling the difficulties they faced within their first year of marriage.
“Nothing really changed in our lives [when we first got married],” Kelly recalled. “We were already living together and the first big thing thrown our way was [dealing with] IVF and infertility.”
