Ons Jabeur has called time on the 2024 season citing shoulder injury as a reason. Jabeur plans to return during the Australian summer next year.
The past few weeks have been extremely challenging for Jabeur. The Tunisian’s shoulder injury hampered her performance during the North American hard-court swing.
She withdrew from the Citi Open before her first-round match against Robin Montgomery and experienced an early exit at the Canadian Open, losing to Naomi Osaka.
Jabeur’s pursuit of her first tour-level title this season has ended, as she recently announced her withdrawal from the remainder of the 2024 season. The former World No. 2 shared this news on X, stating that she will focus on recovery and charity work during this time.
