“I’m going to marry that one, the one in the short black dress,” David Beckham, then 21, told teammate Gary Nevill in 1996, as they watched a Spice Girls concert on TV.

“That one,” of course, was Victoria “Posh Spice” Adams.

“I just really fancied her, and I really fancied her when I first met her,” David recalled recently on James Corden’s podcast This Life of Mine.
