David Beckham has broken his silence after being overlooked for a knighthood in the New Year’s Honours list.
The former England football captain shared an upbeat social media post celebrating his family and reflecting on an “unforgettable year”. Beckham, 49, who was notably absent from the latest honours list, chose to focus on the positives as 2024 drew to a close.
The ex-Manchester United legend shared a series of family photographs on Instagram, leading with a romantic image of himself kissing his wife Victoria. In his heartfelt message, Beckham wrote:
“Happy New Year from myself, my wife and my amazing kids… Thank you for an unforgettable year and I want to wish everyone a happy and healthy 2025. Love David x.”
Victoria Beckham joined the celebrations by sharing a video of the couple dancing together.
