Six weeks after Robert Saleh was sacked as head coach, one of the NFL’s most disappointing teams has axed its general manager. The Jets fired Joe Douglas on Tuesday, according to multiple reports.
That leaves New York with an interim head coach and no full-time GM, while the Jets are 3-8 and almost eliminated from the playoffs.
There are mounting questions about Rodgers’ NFL future, with many wondering if the 40-year-old quarterback will retire after the 2024 season.
For now, it appears one man is in charge of the Jets given he’s outlasted Saleh and Douglas. Rodgers, though, barely played last season and has statistically been one of the NFL’s worst QBs this year.
