Angel Reese now touches millions, but a past NIL agent thought she’d make way less.
The WNBA phenom has become one of the most profitable earners in her class and currently has a NIL (Name, Image and Likeness) valuation estimated at $1.8 million, with endorsement deals from Reese’s Puffs, Reebok, Beats by Dre, upcoming musical fantasy epic Wicked and more.
However, during her time as a student-athlete attending Louisiana State University, a past agent of Reese’s once tried to shoot down her hopes of making big figures.
During ComplexCon 2024 in Las Vegas, the Chicago Sky forward sat down with Complex’s Speedy Morman and discussed the discouragement she received.
“I used to be with an agency and I’m not with the agency anymore. And initially when I was with the agency, that specific agency told me I was never going to make over $2,000. … And that was when NIL first started,” the 22-year-old said.
