Andy Reid brushes off Xavier Worthy injury concerns ahead of training camp
an early offseason hamstring injury sidelined the rookie, causing some concern.
In early May, Worthy suffered the injury during OTAs and offseason workouts, which kept him out of minicamp practices for nearly a month.
Such an injury is particularly concerning for a speedster like Worthy.Reid’s comments suggest optimism regarding Worthy’s health and readiness for training camp.
However, Reid also highlighted the potential impact of Worthy’s absence from offseason workouts on his integration into the team.
“Really, it’s getting that timing down with the new people,”Reid said.
“And then, ‘What do the new people do well?’ So, let’s see what they can do. Now, with Xavier, we weren’t able to do a whole lot of that because of the injury. But, you bring Mecole [Hardman] back in and then you’ve got Hollywood [Brown], you’ve got two fast guys, so you can kind of work some things in there and see what they look like.”
