‘House of Dragon’ creator gives MAJOR update for season 3
House of Dragon showrunner and co-creator Ryan Condal announced during a press conference on Monday that the series will run for a total of four seasons.
Condal confirmed that the show will conclude with Season 4, and that the third season is currently being written. He added that production on Season 3 is expected to begin in “earlyish 2025”, with prep work set to take place this fall.
The show creator also teased about how long Season 3 will be. Condal said: “I haven’t had discussions with HBO about it.
I would just anticipate the cadence of the show, from a dramatic storytelling perspective, will continue to be the same from Season 2 on.”
The second season of House of the Dragon concludes with Sunday’s finale, setting the stage for an all-out war between the rival Targaryen factions for the Iron Throne.
