Andy Reid dresses up as a ‘missing’ Patrick Mahomes and gives speech that nearly brings fans to tears
The Thursday night event was a significant occasion, attended by Mahomes’ family, including his mother Randi Mahomes and sister Mia Randall, who were there to witness the proud moment.
Earlier in the week, it was announced that Mahomes had won the ESPYS “Best NFL Player” Award. At the event on July 11, it was revealed that he also secured the “Best Male Athlete” Award.With Mahomes absent, coach Andy Reid took to the stage to accept the awards on his behalf. Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice shared an Instagram story showing Reid accepting the award on Thursday at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
Reid delivered a heartfelt speech on Mahomes’ behalf, expressing appreciation for all the fans and team members who contributed to Kansas City’s success.
