James Bond producers are set to make a MAJOR change for next 007 theme song – as Barbara Broccoli eyes up HUGE singing sensations to follow in the footsteps of Taylor Swift, Adele, Sam Smith, and Billie Eilish
The most recent Bond movies starring Craig, 56, have been accompanied by very soulful ballads – but now, Barbara is said to be keen to ‘mix it up’ in an attempt to lure in new fans to the spy franchise.
‘Barbara is very interested in having the next Bond theme to be more fun, more pop rock and not filled with as much sorrow as the last few themes have been,’ a source told DailyMail.com.’It would be safe to go down that path again, especially since they all won the Oscar,’ the source continued.
‘But this next Bond needs to mix it up and return to having a song in the vein of Duran Duran’s, A View to a Kill,’ they added.
According the source, the Bond theme needs to be an anthem – but also upbeat and able to both ‘resonate with both established fans of the series and new fans as well.’
‘Barbara feels someone like Bruno Mars or The Weeknd could do something fun, or a band like the Foo Fighters or Adam Levine by himself or with Maroon 5 could have a catchy and fun theme,’ the source mused.
