Taylor Swift’s teachers reveal how she developed her talent for poetry
Often praised for her songwriting capabilities, Swift’s latest album release has led to even more focus on her past and what led her to this stage of her career.Her 11th studio album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, led two of her old teachers to speak to CBS Philadelphia about Swift’s love for music and what she was like as a child.
Barbara Kolvek, Swift’s elementary school music teacher, told the outlet that the Grammy winner, 34, said she wanted to be a singer in second grade.
“She always was writing poetry, always, even in music class, even when she shouldn’t,” said Kolvek, who shared that she gave Swift “her very first singing solo.”
