Breaking News: Raiders DE Maxx Crosby injured after receiving tough (but legal) low block vs. Chiefs….see more
Despite the low nature of the block, the hit is considered legal due to where on the field it took place, per CBS Sports rules analyst Gene Steratore.
CBS Sports’ rules analyst Gene Steratore breaks down how this low block by Chiefs TE Noah Gray is legal. He nearly took out Maxx Crosby’s legs on this play, seen here in slow motion.
Prior to leaving the game, Crosby had three tackles, including one solo, as Kansas City continued to run up the score. Crosby will have time recover, as the Raiders have a bye next week before hosting the Jaguars on Nov. 2.
For the most part, he has been injury-free during his career. After four years of starting in every game for the Raiders, Crosby missed five games last season while struggling with an ankle injury.
