Blake Lively’s friendship circle may be shifting, but she’s not lacking for support. In fact, one of her closest allies right now is someone who’s known her — and her family — for years.

Salma Hayek, who’s worked with both Lively and Ryan Reynolds, is stepping into the spotlight as Lively’s new go-to A-lister, just as other longtime pals like Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid appear to be pulling away as Lively’s legal Battle with Justin Baldoni ramps up before the March 2026 trial.

“They understand Spanish,” she added. “Especially a little one.”

Hayek and Lively first worked together more than a decade ago on the 2012 crime drama Savages. Since then, Hayek has also appeared alongside Reynolds in The Hitman’s Bodyguard franchise.

But her connection with Lively goes beyond the screen. Back in 2017, she presented the Gossip Girl alum with an award at Variety’s Power of Women event and publicly praised her, saying, “I still have never met anybody that, at such an early stage in their life, had such a sense of self, so much courage,” she said.
