Rodriguez has revealed in her Netflix reality show ‘I am Georgina’ that she was left relieved when Ronaldo announced he was set to leave United. Infamously, the Portugal international departed by mutual consent in November of 2022, and subsequently joined Al-Nassr.

Rodriguez said: “When Cris told me he was going to play for Al-Nassr, I was so relieved because I really wanted to leave Manchester.

“I knew something big was waiting for us and we were highly motivated. I was very happy to come to Saudi Arabia.

“It all happened so quickly. At the beginning, I had some ups and downs because we had never lived in a hotel for so long. There were days when I didn’t want anyone to see me, but overall, I was very excited.”
